How Batteries Work
A car battery stores chemical energy and converts it into electrical power when needed. This electricity is essential for starting the engine, powering the ignition system, and keeping your vehicle running.
In addition to engine cranking, the battery may also supply power to lights, infotainment, and other electronic accessories. If the alternator or drive belt fails, the battery can temporarily power the vehicle’s entire electrical system.
